FABKids Drama classes are a safe space for kids to experiment, have fun and explore their theatrical side. FABKids Drama is firstly about helping your child gain confidence and build resilience, therefore freeing young performers to feel comfortable on stage and screen. Kids and Teens will participate in improvisation, working with scripts for on stage and in front of the camera. Learning through practice and example of what being a good scene partner and good audience member is. Ultimately respecting each other and working and collaborating to build each other up– when you join FABKids Drama classes you become part of our team.
FABKids Drama comprise fun skill-based sessions in a creative and safe space where kids are encouraged to join in, share, support and explore their own individual creativity and that of others. Ages are only a guide. The ages vary in each class and is not exclusive to the ages listed below. It is often based on skill and interest level. Please email or call for any questions and advice on what best class to select for your child.
Teen Tuesdays (run ar Rise & Grind Cafe, Vermont)
4.30 till 6.0 pm (Year 7 and over) Acting for Screen
Thursdays (Mitcham -St John's)
4PM till 5PM (Grade 1 to Grade 5) Acting for stage and Screen
5PM till 6PM (Grade 6 to Year 8) Acting for stage and Screen
Programs start with a solid foundation working on confidence and a positive growth mindset.
Classes and workshops include working with scripts and improvisation for stage and screen.
Fab Kids Drama encourages children and young adults to embrace their own individual qualities resulting in an increase in confidence and skills within themselves for not only the performance arena but also ones that they will use in their everyday life. For only through creativity and self-expression can children grow to their fullest potential. Skills such as speech and conversation and listening and response will ultimately result in a child’s overall self-assurance helping them to better navigate life in general.‘ I want to inspire and enrich the lives of every child that enters my classroom. Through creating an environment that will embrace, energise, enhance and challenge a student’s own personal qualities, where they feel safe and encouraged to step outside their comfort zone and make bold considered choices’.
